Listening for the soft rythmic coo of the mourning doves has become a joyful part of our days. I was excited this morning when I looked up and saw one resting right above me.

Day 41. Purples and oranges everywhere.

Day 39... ... ... ... Day 39 of staying home (36 of the official shelter in place order). Overall I am keeping my spirits up, but sometimes I get the blues, and today was a case of the Monday quarantine blues. But in the afternoon I took Alden out on a bike ride. He had a very specific destination in mind, he pointed the way and when we got there, he dismounted saying "we went here yesterday" (with dad). He went up a path that leads to two houses, and pointed out the two different wind chimes on their two porches. "Look, look..." I followed him and we stood in a peaceful spot, by an old wooden fence, between the two wind chimes blowing in the breeze. Enjoying the sound and the moment and the beautiful day. A moment of zen with my toddler. I turned around and saw this view facing out toward the bay, and this bird sitting on this wire. .... How was your day today? ... 🐦
